Initial visit
Health Questionnaire
All new patients are required to complete a health and medical questionnaire to give the chiropractor as much information about the patient's health (current and previous). After reviewing the questionnaire, the chiropractor then proceeds to take a thorough patient history. This information is vital as it provides the chiropractor with important clues that assist in his diagnosis; moreover the information listed may highlight patient conditions that require modified techniques and/or co-management by another health care professional.
Physical Examination
This involves the chiropractor performing selected specialized tests on the patient to determine the diagnosis, the severity and whether any further tests are required. In some cases, x-rays are required, in such cases patients are referred to the local radiographic clinic whereby they can undergo a bulk-bill x-rays service.
On-site x-rays
If required, x-rays are taken at the clinic. X-rays can provide important clinical detail, often required to rule-in or rule-out a specefic diagnosis. Bulk billing options are available.
